Mamoudou Nango

Mamoudou, Seydou, and Ady of the Nango family from Dourou in Dogon Country, Mali, are heirs to the traditional Dogon indigo dyeing technique. Sisters, brothers, parents, and extended relatives of the Nango family have lived by this ancestral art for many generations. Mamadou is the founder of the Dogon Indigo Center, which promotes this knowledge. The entire family produces and distributes this knowledge worldwide. They are master textile artisans by birth.
