Idrissa Dembélé, of Mianca origin, was born in Bamako, Mali. He is the first son of Kélétigui Dembélé, a founding member of the Kassobané group, a collective dedicated to the revitalization of Bogolan textile art. From a very young age, he was immersed in Bogolan and nurtured his passion, which he has perfected over time. For nearly fifteen years, he received his initial training from Boubacar Doumbia at the N'domo workshop in Ségou. Then, in 2020, he founded the ANKASO CHEZ NOUS Bogolan Badri workshop in Bamako, where he produces and distributes his Bogolan and indigo creations and masterpieces. He shares his work with the world, acting as a great ambassador for Malian textile culture.
